Rescue week in Murchison

Date: 27th Feb - 2nd March

Location:  Murchison. , Lower Matakitaki

Difficulty:  Grade 3

People on trip:  TPP Rafting

Weather:  Sunny

Water flow:  Low

Incidents: no

Duration:  4 days 3 nights

Rock climbing in Wanaka

We spent 5 days climbing down in Wanaka!!

We had good weather and lots of good climbing was to be had!

All tho we did spend one morning waiting for the rock to dry and practised some rope work before going up some more rock!!

Fly in to the Whitcomb river with the team and Zak

Even with an early 5am start, a little trouble getting our boats out of the shed, someone has broken the key in the door :( , looked like delaying the start of what was to be an awesome trip. But Greg was able to take out the window and off we went!

We picked up Zac on our way to the chopper and still managed to get there in good time.

We flew out at 7.30am and were on the river just after 8am. This meant we had a long day and lots of amazing kayaking was to be had!

6hours later and we had all made it back to the car!!
